Kyriakos Lampropoulos is Assistant Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering of the School of Chemical Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA).

His research focuses on the science and engineering of structural materials and on non-destructive methods for the assessment of structures and infrastructure. His work addresses material deterioration and pathology, structural integrity and performance, as well as the monitoring and evaluation of conservation, strengthening and rehabilitation interventions.

His applied research has supported the assessment, monitoring and protection of historic and contemporary structures and infrastructure, including the Holy Edicule of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the Kifissos bridges, railway infrastructure, the former Athens airport at Ellinikon, the Medieval City of Rhodes and Hagia Sophia. His publication record includes more than 90 scientific publications in international journals, book chapters, international edited volumes and conference proceedings. He has also served as Guest Editor and editor of special issues and international volumes on structural monitoring, sustainable preservation and cultural heritage.
