Eleni Vlahogianni is a Professor in Traffic Engineering and Dean at the School of Civil Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (Greece). Τhe main thematic areas in which she is active include traffic analysis and forecasting, automatic and connected mobility, intelligent transport systems, traffic management and control and the application of advanced technologies and intelligent approaches to transport infrastructure management. She has more than 20 years of professional and research experience as an engineer, academic and advisor in research projects and consultancies, in a national and European level focusing on urban mobility, network and traffic management, public transport and traffic safety. Her extensive scientific research has garnered wide international recognition, particularly for her pioneering work in applying Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence to address challenges in transportation and traffic engineering.
