Dimitris Damigos is a Professor of Environmental Economics at the School of Mining and Metallurgical Engineering of NTUA. His main research and professional activities focus on the economic valuation of environmental goods and services using stated and revealed preference methods, within the framework of Cost-Benefit Analysis and Cost-Effectiveness Analysis. His scientific and educational interests concentrate on financial and socioeconomic evaluation of engineering projects, Real Options Analysis, mineral and energy economics, uncertainty analysis and stochastic models, decision-making with single- and multi-criteria methods, and environmental and risk management. He teaches five undergraduate and five postgraduate courses. He has participated as a researcher, principal investigator, or scientific coordinator in more than 60 research projects and has published approximately 160 papers in reputable journals and conferences, mainly in the areas of environmental economics and environmental management. He has served as a reviewer for more than 35 international scientific journals.
