Dimitrios Konispoliatis

Dimitrios Konispoliatis serves as an Assistant Professor of Floating Structures at the School of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). His research interests encompass the linear and non-linear hydrodynamics of moored floating structures, the analysis and performance evaluation of wave energy converters, the coupled dynamics of floating wind turbines and offshore wind park concepts, and the design of fishing cages for open sea applications. With over fifteen years of experience, Dr. Konispoliatis has developed analytical tools to address linear and higher-order body-wave interaction problems concerning single and multiple interacting moored structures in wave environments. He is a member of the International Ship and Offshore Structure Congress (ISSC,2023 - present) and has authored or co-authored more than 100 publications in international journals and reviewed conference proceedings. Additionally, Dr. Konispoliatis has participated in over ten funded research projects, serving in roles as coordinator, scientific lead, or principal investigator.
