Christina Plati

Christina Plati holds a degree in Civil Engineering and a PhD in Pavement Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in Greece. She is full Professor at the School of Civil Engineering of NTUA. She has been working in the scientific field of pavement engineering for more than 25 years and has participated in more than 60 Greek National, European and international research projects over the years, as either a researcher, lead researcher and/or principal investigator. Her main interests apply on functional and structural evaluation of transportation infrastructure, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques and monitoring systems, pavement design and rehabilitation, performance and durability of pavement materials and structures with a special focus on sustainability aspects. She is the author or co-author of more than 150 papers in international journals, conferences or special scientific editions (h-index, Scopus 20, Google Scholar 23). She has a proven record of accomplishment as noted in her participation in National, European and International Scientific Committees and Work Groups dedicated to these research areas. Amongst others, she is the research coordinator of the Greek FEHRL (Forum of European National Highway Research Laboratories) group, member of the Association of Asphalt Paving Technologists (AAPT), the International Society of Asphalt Pavement (ISAP), the Transportation Research Board (TRB) committees.
